The Willa Cather Pioneer Memorial and Educational Foundation (Cather Foundation) was founded in 1955 with headquarters in Red Cloud, Nebraska. In the intervening years, Red Cloud has grown to host the largest number of historic-designated buildings devoted to one author in the United States. The site is maintained in cooperation with the Nebraska State Historical Society.
