MOON BLOCK UPDATE: On September 7, 2007, the United States Senate passed the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Appropriations bill by a vote of 88-7. This bill includes a commitment of $1,000,000 for the Moon Block Project in Red Cloud. The bill was supported by Nebraska Senators Chuck Hagel and Ben Nelson. Press Release

If you are interested in donating funds to support this project, please send a check made payable to the Cather Foundation in addition to a letter of intent stating that you wish the funds to go directly toward the Moon Block and Archival Support. Your generosity in this initiative is integral in preserving materials necessary to further to maintenance of the largest living memorial to an author in the country.
