Tiny Art Market

The Red Cloud Opera House gallery is reaching out to past and future exhibitors and contributors as we prepare for an upcoming holiday art show and sale! We’ve talked about this event with many of you earlier in the year individually, and now we’re ready to begin soliciting your best tiny pieces for our upcoming art market. Whether you’re a serious amateur artist with just a few pieces ready to go, or a pro hoping to expand your gallery network or branch out with new work, we hope you’ll consider contributing a piece or two to this show.

Inspired by our visits to other galleries across the country, our team envisions the Tiny Art Market as a place where patrons can discover new artists, encounter both beauty and whimsy, and make local art a part of their daily lives and holiday traditions. We hope to make this a fun and approachable show featuring tiny pieces from familiar names and new artists, with proceeds from the show not only supporting you, our artists, but the ongoing arts education work undertaken by the team at the Red Cloud Opera House.

This show will feature:

Pieces that are tiny-sized, 12”x12” or smaller, any medium
Pieces that are tiny-priced, $150 or less (including 35% standard gallery commission)

Details:

Pieces from this show will sell off the wall to promote gift-giving. Artwork should be delivered by October 20, 2026, and be wall- or display-ready with hanging hardware for wall display, and matted and bagged for prints, art cards, small pieces. The RCOH will supply wire, plinths, card racks, bookstands, etc. for exhibit. There is no set maximum number of pieces accepted per artist, but curatorial staff will ensure that all artists are represented and reserve the right to hold items until space allows if necessary.

Artists may ship artwork in advance or deliver to the Red Cloud Opera House by October 20, 2026. At the close of the show, any remaining artwork may be picked up in January 2027; short term storage is available. Artist commissions are paid quarterly.

The Tiny Art Market will be promoted as part of Red Cloud's Light the Night holiday event and at special extended gallery hours during our Veteran's Day and holiday Red Cloud Opera House performances. Contributing artists will be featured on the exhibit webpage and in social media promotions of the show.

To make it as easy as possible, just email Director of Collections and Curation Tracy Tucker (ttucker@willacather.org) with your intent; she will send you and artist's agreement where you can sign up and list the pieces you will be exhibiting—that's it!
