The Red Cloud Opera House takes a comedic swipe at tinsel town in the hilarious upcoming production Completely Hollywood produced by Community Players from Beatrice.

The madcap comedy will be performed on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the show can be purchased by calling the Red Cloud Opera House at (402) 746-2641 or by visiting www.WillaCather.org. Advanced tickets are $15 and tickets purchased the day of the show are $18.

Completely Hollywood presents us with three actors who think they know the perfect formula to make a successful film. Exploring nearly every cliché and lame plot device the movies have ever seen, they attempt to condense 100 years of Hollywood into two hours of high-definition hilarity.

"This show is pure silliness that pokes fun at our shared cultural obsession - the movies." said Jamie Ulmer, Community Players Managing Artistic Director.

Pat Marlatt, Matt McNiff, and Tyler Rinne all take on the challenge of lampooning the motion picture industry. The production is directed by Ulmer.

The show is written by Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor with additional material by Dominic Conti. The trio is known for their fast-paced similarly themed comedies including The Complete Works of Williams Shakespeare (Abridged).

"It's three actors playing countless characters, referencing more than 180 movies, doing more insanely fast costume changes than you can shake milk duds at. Sometimes it is fun to watch the show just to see if the cast, and the audience, will survive the mayhem," Ulmer said.

"We are elated to partner with the Beatrice Community Players to bring this production to Red Cloud. Our audience can expect to see the history of Hollywood's movie industry come to life in a hysterical show," said Ashley Olson, Executive Director of the Willa Cather Foundation.

Community Players, an award winning community theater located in downtown Beatrice, produces a variety of entertainment and educational programs featuring the talents of performers from throughout Southeast Nebraska. The production was originally part of the organization's 2013-2014 season and has been touring area venues as part of an outreach initiative. For more information about the organization call (402) 228-1801 or visit www.beatricecommunityplayers.com.

Programming at the Red Cloud Opera House is made possible with the support of community sponsors, the Nebraska Arts Council, the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
