Botanical Print Workshop

We are excited to host Kansas artist Laura Mead to learn the secrets of botanical printing on textiles during a 1-day workshop in Red Cloud! During the workshop, the artist and National Willa Cather Center staff will lead group participants in plant selection at the Willa Cather Memorial Prairie, before we gather in the Creative Hub to learn the techniques that Mead uses to create her beautiful artwork.

Schedule of events:

8:30 a.m.   Meet at the Creative Hub to check in 
                  (lower level of Hotel Garber) 
9:00 a.m.   Caravan to the prairie
                  Participants need a car or carpool 
10:00 a.m. Botanical printing workshop
12:00 p.m. Lunch (included with registration)
1:00 p.m.   Reveal the printed pieces

Cost $125/person, includes all materials, morning beverages, and lunch that is gluten-free and vegetarian friendly.
