Oglala Lakota and Navajo performer Garan Coons returns to the Red Cloud Opera House, this time with his Many Moccasins Dance Troupe! Join us for an unforgettable evening of dance and storytelling accompanied by beautiful music.

Garan Coons is the ultimate all-around entertainer! Founder of the Many Moccasins Dance Troupe, Coons tours extensively, delivering a spectacular display of living Native American culture. His exquisite regalia and defined dance moves offer a magnificent educational and artistic experience that all age groups will enjoy. Coons and his dancers specialize in the art of Fancy Feather dancing and traditional Prairie Chicken dancing, both of which help bring history and tradition to life. The performance will include traditional dancing with narration, storytelling, and flute playing. Mr. Coons is a past recipient of the Governor's Arts Award in the category of Heritage Arts.

Programming at the National Willa Cather Center's Red Cloud Opera House is made possible with the support of the Baldwin Foundation, Nebraska Arts Council, and Nebraska Cultural Endowment.
