Join us for the finale of the 71st Annual Willa Cather Spring Conference! Adapted by Brenda Withers from Cather's short story “The Bohemian Girl,” this unique and special production features actors Jonathan Fielding and Brenda Withers from the Harbor Stage Company.

Ten years after striking out on his own, Nils Ericson returns home in search of what he left behind: the land he knew, the family he confounded, and the girl he never forgot. An adaptation of a classic tale by one of America's most beloved writers that the Boston Globe describes as “Impressive… The Bohemian finds something new to say.”

The Harbor Stage Company is an ensemble of professional theater artists who operate out of the Harbor Stage in Wellfleet, MA. In 2012, our co-founders banded together to return an artist-run operation to the iconic seaside theater where we'd first met. Our seasons have garnered overwhelming critical and community praise and we’ve cultivated an audience hungry for challenging work. We do great plays at fair prices for the right reason. The Harbor Stage Company is a 501(c)(3) incorporated non-profit.

Programming at the National Willa Cather Center's Red Cloud Opera House is made possible with the support of the Baldwin Foundation, Nebraska Arts Council, and Nebraska Cultural Endowment.

The National Willa Cather Center is ADA accessible. We offer physical, visual, and audio accommodations for all attendees. If you require handicapped accessible seating, an ASL interpreter, or any other accommodations, please contact our Visitor Services Coordinator, Nick Powers, at npowers@willacather.org. Advance notice is necessary to arrange for some accessibility needs.
