Mary Carrick to Perform Cabaret Show at Red Cloud Opera House

(Red Cloud, NE) — The Red Cloud Opera House will be bursting with music from some of Broadway’s best musicals on Saturday, Nov. 8th at 7 p.m. Considered one of the best cabaret singers in the Midwest, Mary Carrick has been performing professionally for twenty years in cabaret shows, concerts, and as a recording artist. Carrick keeps an active schedule singing and working with various arts councils, arts organizations, cabaret venues, and theatres across the Midwest. She currently resides in Omaha, Nebraska, and frequently performs with Opera Omaha, the Omaha Symphony, the Rose Theatre, the Omaha Community Playhouse, and many others. Carrick is also a member of the Nebraska Art Council’s Touring Program. In addition to being a versatile vocal performer, Carrick is also an accomplished stage actress who has received numerous awards and nominations for her work, including the 2013 Omaha Entertainment & Arts Award for her role as Sour Kangaroo in the Rose Theater’s production of Seussical: The Musical. She also received critical acclaim and multiple award nominations for her performance at the Rose as Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music. Mary’s most recent endeavor as a recording artist is the release of her debut album, entitled, Let’s Fly, in May 2014. The album is a collection of American standards, musical theatre, jazz, folk, and country.
