The Willa Cather Foundation Launches New Website

In celebration of its 60th year, the Willa Cather Foundation is pleased to announce the next chapter of its website, located at www.WillaCather.org. Founded in 1955 and headquartered in Red Cloud, the Willa Cather Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting the legacy of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Willa Cather through education, historic preservation, and the arts.

The sophisticated new website provides many rich features for visitors. In addition to desktop and mobile capabilities, users will find a streamlined process for product purchasing, event registration, online ticketing, and donations. Robust search functions, a downloadable newsletter library, virtual tours, and rich educational content for readers and educators is also available.

The website was designed and developed by UNANIMOUS, a Lincoln-based marketing agency that assists clients with branding, marketing, and web development. “We are pleased to deliver a new website to The Willa Cather Foundation for the second time,” said President Trent Wilcox. “UNANIMOUS is honored to earn the Foundation’s continued business, and we look forward to helping them achieve more great results in the future.”

For the Foundation, the new site provides a powerful content management system, creates workflow efficiencies, adds social media integration, offers email and membership signup, collection of international payments as well as filters for public and members-only content.

“We are grateful to the dedicated creative team at UNANIMOUS and to the Nebraska Tourism Commission for the grant support that enabled this project to move forward, said Executive Director, Ashley Olson. We are incredibly pleased with our new website and have confidence it will serve us and our visitors well for years to come.”

In addition to celebrating its 60th year in 2015, the Foundation will hold a number of events to commemorate the publication centenary of Cather’s The Song of the Lark. Upcoming events include the Willa Cather Spring Conference and the International Cather Seminar. For more information, visit www.WillaCather.org or call toll-free 866-731-7304.
