Amy Balmanno

Amy Balmanno is a great-great-granddaughter of Anna and John Pavelka. I grew up in California and spent many summers in Blue Hill with my great-grandmother, Antonette Pavelka Kort. When she first read My Ántonia as a teenager, Cather's novel helped her envision her great-great-grandmother through Cather's depiction of Anna Sadilek. Amy works in education with a focus on equitable access for all learners.
