Michael Dixon takes a unique perspective on nature and his photos look at the parts of life that usually go unnoticed. The artist himself stated, "I use photography as a medium in many different ways. I am primarily an artistic photographer who chooses to showcase aspects of nature, objects, and people to evoke a response from the viewer. My aim is to engage the subject matter in an unconventional and creative way to allow the viewer a fresh perspective or revelation." Michael's photos play with color and use the distortion or lack of color to emphasize a different frame of mind. The subject of his work focuses primarily on the Great Plains.
