Emily Dowling

Emily grew up on a family farm in Paxton, Nebraska. Paxton is also the home of Ole’s Big Game Steakhouse where she recently worked as a bartender before she and her fiancé moved to Inavale in December 2022 to work on a large farm. Between them they have five children, five dogs, two horses, and they help tend soybean and corn crops. Emily came to the National Willa Cather Center because she was looking for something different after settling into the region. In her spare time she likes to go camping and fishing with her family, and enjoys scrapbooking with her mother.
