Nicky Billinger

Nicky and her two children moved to Red Cloud in June of 2019 to join her family and discover what “Nebraska…The Good Life” had to offer. Red Cloud was introduced to her at a young age by her maternal grandfather, through his fond childhood memories of growing up in a simple, one-room home along the Republican River in Webster County, NE. Before joining the National Willa Cather Center in 2023 as the Program Associate, Nicky volunteered at several Opera House events, as well as worked at a non profit organization advocating for the needs of neurodivergent children and families covering 46 counties across central Nebraska.

As a true lover of the arts, in her spare time, Nicky enjoys traveling to tour historic sites near and far, attending live music concerts, and dabbling in painting and photography.
